The
Campus Living Wage Project
Unclear as to my true purpose in life, and generally disillusioned halfway
through my junior year of college, I dropped out of school with a grant
from our very kind Haas public service center. Staying with friends all
around the East coast, I interviewed students about the "living wage"
and came up with this. My first and biggest project.

Home
Movies
Not actually home movies, but most made in or around my home. There's
the classic "The Haircut" of my mom cutting my dad's hair, but
there are also other uncovered gems such as "Adam and Luke revisit
Columbae" and "Adam pretends to be an blind black musician in
10th grade." All crowd-pleasers.

Adam's
Bootleg and Mix Series
My latest pride and joy. I'm not quite making music yet, but I am putting
together PERFECTLY LEGAL (do you hear that, Capitol?) cds of my very
favorite bands from their live and unreleased recordings. It's been my
running Christmas gifts over the years, and this year will probably not
be an exception. Go DBT! (Just added mixes of my favorite music too. That's not quite as legal. Don't download them unless you own them! Or something.)

The
Story of Social Innovation
Back in the day, before I worked for the man (The Corporate Executive
Board man, to be exact), I actually interviewed social entrepreneurs (non-profit
leaders ) on how to change the world. My co-writer Lija is also working
for the man, but she swears she's going back, right after business school...
and I believe her. With many thanks to her and Michelle for getting us
in the door to the Daily.

The
Irrationality of Everyday Life
Still uncertain of the true meaning of life, I enrolled in a philosophy
master's program at my alma mater. I don't know much more about its meaning,
but I do know about rationality. Or irrationality. Or at least rationalizations.
Hopefully, someone out there will read it--including my advisors. Special
thanks to K for keeping me awake/alive at the end.

| If
Not for Profit, for What?
My aborted senior thesis. It's about nonprofits, conflicts of interest,
and trusting research. It's important, but strangely has yet to find a
wider reading audience. Definitely changed the way I think, and put a
sharper point on the notion of "integrity" when it comes to
research and politics. Sort of like an applied version of my masters thesis,
basically.

| Community2
Nothing to see here. Keep passing along. If you've ever heard of me talking
about "personal consulting," or the "art of practice," you probably know
where this leads. A community for friends on the same journey. If you're
interested, drop me a line and I'll explain.
